Shanghai Municipal Department Leaders Visit Tianyi Quan'an Technology to Discuss Progress in High-Temperature Coating Applications for Aerospace
Shanghai, 2026 7, 15 – On the afternoon of 7 to 15, leaders from relevant Shanghai departments visited Tianyi Quan'an (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. The company's Chairman and Chief Scientist, Professor Guo Fangwei, hosted the visit. Both sides held in-depth discussions on the implementation progress of high-temperature coating technologies in the aerospace sector.
Technical Exchange: From Material Systems to Model Applications
Professor Guo Fangwei provided a comprehensive overview of the company's core high-entropy precursor ceramic (PHEC) high-temperature coating systems. He highlighted key technical capabilities, including long-term thermal stability above 1600°C and reusability, as well as application directions for reusable launch vehicles and commercialized aircraft thermal protection systems. During the discussion, both parties explored the engineering milestones required to transition these materials from laboratory development to flight qualification, covering mass production, coating fabrication processes, ground-based extreme environment testing, and in-service inspection.
Focus: How universities can close the loop on commercializing their research outcomes.
The visiting leadership focused on the company's pathway as a university research commercialization enterprise, including intellectual property rights confirmation and conversion mechanisms, industry-university-research collaboration models, and regional coordination of R&D and engineering production capacity. They also expressed attention to and support for the company's commitment to long-term technology investment in its niche sector.
The company stated: It will continue to strengthen its engineering validation capabilities.
Tianyi Quan'an stated that the company will continue advancing along the collaborative path of "material R&D in Shanghai, with testing validation and engineering in the Yangtze River Delta," accelerating the construction of extreme environment simulation test platforms. Ground verification data will support the large-scale application of high-temperature coatings in aerospace.
